Team roles

A good set of IT skills is required for all of our roles – applicants should be proficient in using email on Android phones and tablets, connecting devices to WiFi hotspots, and using the Trussell Trust data collection system (for which training will be provided)

Volunteer at our warehouse

We need help to weigh, sort and store donated food before it’s made into parcels for clients to collect. You could help in this vital work to ensure we have the right food available at all times.

Volunteer at a foodbank centre

Meet clients and give out food parcels. Have an informal chat with clients to discuss their situation and signpost to further support.

Volunteer as a data administrator

Manage the creation of vouchers on behalf of clients and coordinate our support response with our referral agencies. Create and report key metrics to our partner organisations.

Volunteer as a driver

Our drivers help us to move donated goods from various collection points to our warehouse and to deliver parcels to our foodbank centres ready for distribution to clients.

Volunteer duties

We will do our best to accomodate anyone who wishes to volunteer, but the nature of the tasks involved does mean that some lifting and carrying will be required. We have guidance on the correct way to undertake these tasks and we expect heavy items to be lifted by two or more people.
